About me 

Hi, I'm Samiha and I am a passionate seeker of change through design. My professional journey through design began in the fast paced city of Dubai.

After working on several commercial design projects, my path led me towards sustainability. Stemming from a background in the human centric field of interior design, sustainability came almost naturally. My personal exploration with the effects of materials and the natural environment from Biophilia to human behavior within a space, the opportunity for sustainability in the built environment was an inevitable destination.

 

I have worked with various mediums of design such as UI / UX design, product design, and branding. After pursuing my Masters in Design for Sustainability, designing with intention and social change has been at the forefront of my projects. My expertise lies in design, design research, strategy and innovation. 

 

I believe we are all here to make our impact on this planet, it's our responsibility to make it a safe habitat for humanity. This matters not just for future generations, but for us now to enact a safe and just space for the planet and the people. I plan to use the methods of systems thinking and the essential tools for design thinking learnt during my Masters program. Designing for sustainability is at the forefront of my priorities as a sustainable designer progressing in today's Design world.
